7. Beyond decision
The final outcome of HTA does not end with the decision. This has to be implemented in order to provide access to a new health technology which has gone through HTA. Here patients can engage in monitoring the time between when recommendations are made and when decisions are acted upon as a means of improving accountability in HTA processes, engaging in appropriate political processes (such as advocacy) after a decision is made or is unduly delayed, or advocating that any further research that is recommended is funded and participate in that research.
