Assessment Process for Joint Clinical Assessments (Art.11)

When all data and study results are compiled, it is the responsibility of the assessors to synthesize all data and produce an assessment report. The report must answer the scoping questions, primarily the PICO questions and others, if requested.

The subgroup shall ensure that patients, clinical experts, and other relevant experts participate in the assessment process by being given the opportunity to provide input on the draft reports prepared by the assessor and the co-assessor. Article 11(4)

Patients can contribute to the review and ensure the input they provided previously in the scoping process have been addressed adequately.

Patients can also address gaps and uncertainties, if they consider that the results presented are not sufficient, or if they think that the research objectives or interpretations are not clear or representative of information that is important for patients.
