Patients

One of the fundamental promises of digital health to patients is the ‘quantification’ of many aspects of care and the production of “Health Data”.

Digital technologies can contextualise the patients’ health data and help them participate in the clinical decision-making process [1]. It supports patients to participate actively in data gathering and monitoring of the status of their medical condition and be able to transmit real-time data to their healthcare providers or other recipients. Digital health also allows patients to access remote care and may help increase adherence to treatment.
