EUPATI Patient Expert Training Programme

The Patient Expert Training Programme, the EUPATI programme about the medicines’ development process, has been running since 2015 and more than 512 individuals have graduated. To date, 8 cohorts have completed the training, with cohort 9 graduating in 2026. After completing the EUPATI Patient Expert Training Programme our trainees become EUPATI Fellows. 

The Programme was originally designed for patients and patient representatives. Today, while it is still mainly addressed to patients and patient representatives, the programme is open to all individuals interested in medicines R&D and patient engagement.

The title certifies the knowledge gained and will give to participants the opportunity to be recognised as expert patients. EUPATI Fellow is a widely well-known label within the patient engagement landscape.  EUPATI fellows are highly sought-after partners by different stakeholders.

EUPATI Alumni Network – By Fellows, For Fellows

The EUPATI Alumni Network is a growing, global community created and run entirely by EUPATI Fellows. The network is independent of the EUPATI Secretariat – except for technical support – and all activities are planned, delivered and sustained by volunteers across cohorts.

The aim is simple: to stay connected, share knowledge and strengthen each other as patient advocates.

What does the Alumni Network do?

Four virtual meetings per year
Breakout discussions, peer learning and knowledge exchange
Opportunities to collaborate on projects, tools and advocacy initiatives
A supportive space where Fellows can share challenges, ideas and experiences

Who Can Join?

All EUPATI Fellows—past and present—are warmly invited.
The network is free, volunteer-driven and open to every cohort, regardless of country, topic or experience level.
